EXPECT DELAYS!!! Guanella Pass road (Park County 62) will be CLOSED to the public from 8-11 am and from 1-3 pm, M-F and 30 min delays outside the closure time.

CLOSED - Geneva Creek Picnic Ground (PG), Whiteside Campground (CG), Duck Creek PG and dispersed camping within the construction area along the Guanella Pass corridor and the first 1.5 miles of FSR119.
Day parking ONLY or CLOSED if Trailhead (TH) is under construction - Threemile TH, Abyss/Burning Bear TH
OPEN - Burning Bear CG and Geneva Park CG
Mt. Bierstadt/Square Top – alternative access from Georgetown.

Easy find on the way back down from the summit. Perfect weather day with fall colors and all the crowds on Bierstadt next door. TFTC

Cache #1287! Gorgeous day for a hike. Goal one was just to get to the lower lake. We think we can try to summit Square Top (spoiler alert - we didn't end up making it). HARD hike but thanks for a smiley!

#1265 - It's not under snow today! The trails are totally clear leading up to ALMOST the summit (way hard hike!). Anyway, thanks for placing - someone else logged the physical in Sept 2017 as well but doesn't look like they logged online. Thanks again! Spooky!

Denali41, Paul, and I had a great day hiking up to the top of Square Top. The sun was out most of the morning with just a few scattered clouds but the wind made things a little chilly when we got about 1/2 way up so we each put on and extra layer and our gloves. We were able to find all of the caches along the route except for two. This one was still buried in snow and one was missing. We'll have to try another time.

Not really a DNF. The cache was deeply buried in snow today, and we decided to not dig around for it!
