The Colorado Trail was completed in 1987 and stretches from Denver to Durango, Colorado. Colorado's South Park GeoTour includes three caches placed along the portion of the trail between Kenosha Pass and the Lost Park Road that offer scenic views of South Park and the surrounding mountains. The trail is very popular, especially during the summer, so stealth is required to find the caches without being seen.

Park at the Kenosha Pass Trailhead off on highway 285 and head southeast on the trail. This cache is located approximately 1.5 miles down the trail.

Found it!

Found with Java Chip. She found a large tin not far from GZ and insisted it was the cache. I persisted to find the actual coordinates and the correct container in the right place in good condition. It does not latch but contents are still in great shape. TFTC!

North of trail. By my GPS 39° 23.7690 by -105° 44.1570. Container's lid has lost its lock and lock tabs. I found this back in 2013, but had to bring others along. A beautiful view of Southpark. A gorgeous day, cobalt blue sky and twinkling yellow aspens.

What better way to spend mother's day than doing a geotour on the Colorado trail. Took a while to find this one, it was about 50 ft from GZ, but geosenses prevailed. TFTC
