This scenic location provides views of the Kenosha Mountains to the east and the Tarryall Valley to the south. The Kenosha Mountains are a series of unnamed peaks in the Lost Creek Wilderness Area that border the South Park and South Platte Ranger Districts. The Kenoshas are part of the Kenosha Batholith, a granite intrusion of rock formed by cooled magma below the earth's crust. The Wilderness Area can be accessed via the nearby Colorado Trail.
