Ring The Peak Cache Series

This is 1 of 15 caches placed along the Ring The Peak trail system. Each cache in the series has a permanent clue located underneath the lid. The clue consists of one letter and number (think "scrabble piece") that leads to the final cache: Ring The Peak .

Please bring a pen and paper to write down the clue, and be sure to note if the letter is underlined or not.

An excellent source for trail information can be found here.

I managed to pick this one up on the outbound leg of what I’ll call overnight Sentinel Loop+, taking the free / hard way. I’ve never been here before, so I appreciate the nice caches along the route to serve as my motivation. Since I came down the spur from GC1561D View from my cabin, I’m doing the pancake trail caches in reverse. Now that is a stump! I’ve found a number of these RTP caches, but will probably never get the final because I’ve lost some codes due to a hard drive crash. The container and log are currently in good shape, but the container has half of its snaps broken off. It may be only a matter of time before water becomes a problem. I tried to place bark camo on top of it to provide as much protection as possible. Thanks to the CO for placing this nice cache for everyone to find, TFTC.

Started to walk past this one except I checked my receiver and realized I was near the cache. This one was the focus for today, since I’m playing a Colorado game (4 more and 5en complete and no it’s not ring the Peak). A nice cache and in good shape, appreciate the placement.
