Ring The Peak Cache Series

This is 1 of 15 caches placed along the Ring The Peak trail system. Each cache in the series has a permanent clue located underneath the lid. The clue consists of one letter and number (think "scrabble piece") that leads to the final cache: Ring The Peak .

Please bring a pen and paper to write down the clue, and be sure to note if the letter is underlined or not.

An excellent source for trail information can be found here.

I managed to pick this one up on the inbound leg of what I’ll call overnight Sentinel Loop+, taking the free / hard way. I’ve never been here before, so I appreciate the nice caches along the route to serve as my motivation. I’ve found a number of these RTP caches, but will probably never get the final because I’ve lost some codes due to a hard drive crash. This one was tricky because the GPS thought it would be fun to make me do a dance by jumping all over the place. The container and log are still in great shape.

It was a great bonus that this one hasn’t been found for almost two years, because I keep track of lonely cache stats for challenges. With this find, I now have (counting only 1 year or more lonely) a total of 175 years, 9 months lonely time on 78 caches from 11 North American States & Provinces.

Thanks to the CO for placing this nice cache for everyone to find, TFTC.

Found it, beautiful fall day hike , been to pancake rocks and horse thief falls many times but never this direction . Thanks for enticing me this way with the cache. It's definitely a great Fall aspen hike that doesn't seem to be as well known. So glad I went this way today!
