Ring The Peak Cache Series

This is 1 of 15 caches placed along the Ring The Peak trail system. Each cache in the series has a permanent clue located underneath the lid. The clue consists of one letter and number (think "scrabble piece") that leads to the final cache: Ring The Peak .

Please bring a pen and paper to write down the clue, and be sure to note if the letter is underlined or not.

An excellent source for trail information can be found here.

our last of the series!!! hoorah!!! although when we got to it we both looked at each other a little bittersweet that we had finally completed the quest! we have enjoyed this series more than we can explain. thank you so much for placing all of them and bringing us on a journey around the peak that took us 2 years to complete. :) we enjoyed every day of caching and the views and workouts they afforded us. :) here's to another fave point. :) now onward to the final! :) cache was in perfect shape.

Got a touch of extra exercise today( & an extra drive from the end of the road to Divide and back :-( ). When I parked the first time the rechargeable in the gpsr was dead and the cig lighter adapter wouldn't do the trick.
Once I started out for real there seemed a difference between the trail I could see, and the proper one displayed on the Garmin. Headed out on the visible one in the tracks of someone who had snowshoed(not a bad idea); when that proved it wasn't going to work I just went cross country after the pointer. Could see the hide from 75' or more away uphill... with the unit sitting on the hide it said 9 feet, but anyone getting here will easily find this.
I mostly stuck to the gps map trail for retreat, no less a slog in the ankle deep sugar. Cache is in perfect shape, I didn't see a signature from August, but it could have been tucked in anywhere. See you in the spring for the last couple at last
