Ring The Peak Cache Series

This is 1 of 15 caches placed along the Ring The Peak trail system. Each cache in the series has a permanent clue located underneath the lid. The clue consists of one letter and number (think "scrabble piece") that leads to the final cache: Ring The Peak .

Please bring a pen and paper to write down the clue, and be sure to note if the letter is underlined or not.

An excellent source for trail information can be found here. Since the catamount reservoir section of trail is closed over the winter, I've hidden this cache in the adjacent catamount open space area (open year round). The location is close to the RTP trail, making for a convenient stop in the summer while doing the loop.

Out for a early morning hike and thought there must be a cache or 2 in the area. Sure enough there are 9 so I took my time and picked them off one at a time. Cache is in good shape. TFTC SL

TFFC! Decided to do the loop today on a cloudy one at that. Cache is in good shape and thank you for the smiley face on the cache map. Goal is to get our 1,000 find for the year 2019 and this is 854.

Enjoyed my hike on a cool morning. I wrote the code on a little piece of paper and stuck it inside the lid (facing out of course) which is being held by a little stick. Me thinks that it should stay in there. TFTC

We were in the area to grab the final to a 10-cache mystery series we have been working on and wanted to enjoy the whole trail by stopping for all of the traditional caches as well. Gorgeous Colorado morning with perfect hiking weather.

At this cache, we found the replacement log in a zip-lock baggie hidden as described in the hint. Unfortunately, there was no clue to the final listed on the replacement log sheet. :O( We placed the log sheet and baggie in a replacement container to protect it from the elements and re-hid as found. Thanks for this fun series.

Forgot a pen again. Truly a minimalist cache.
