A nice hike will bring you to the site. It is approximately 30 miles north of Steamboat Springs, Co.Drive north of Steamboat Springs on County Road 29, approximately 19 miles. You will pass Clark, Colorado. Continue until you cross over the Elk River (another mile or so) and turn right. This is road #400. Take this east approximately 6-7 miles (much of this is dirt). You will come to a sign that indicates Slavonia trailhead straight ahead 3 miles, Trail 1100 to the right 2 miles. Make the right turn (road #443). You will cross a small river and climb up the mountain, going west. You will find yourself making a bend so you are now heading east. You will soon see a sign to the right saying “Burn Ridge Trailhead” (this is trail 1100). Park in the designated area. Take the trail approximately a quarter mile to the “sign in” station (wooden box on a pole). Continuing on the trail it is approximately another 180 steps. You will then see three healthy pine trees on the right of the trail. Go between them and walk about 20 yards. You will see a large rock to the right- that is not the correct one. Ahead of you is a smaller rock with a broken log over it, that is the spot. Coordinates are: N 040 degrees, 45.579 W 106 degrees, 46.379

09/02/2015 By Thick or Thin In honor of this being my double double trip cache I am making this a favorite. I drove up 2 days ago to do this one only to find that somehow the cache never made it to my GPS and there was no phone reception for my iPhone; so a nice trip but no cache. Today I arrived at the cache only to find that I had left my cache bag in the car , so it was another trip in to drop the TB I picked up in Ohio. I enjoyed the the walk both times. There was an added bonus for having to return today as they were stocking fingerling trout in the creek about a mile down the trail using pack horses and a mule plus backpacks. We don't see that backnin Pa. All in all a wonderful experience. Thick or Thin Chalfont, Pa

09/02/2012 By Cocker Lovers No problem finding it, as it was sitting out in the open. It looked as though an animal had torn apart the log to get to it. I suspect this might have been because some cacher had left bubble gum in the cache. We removed the bubble gum and left a bookmark and an unscented candle...rehid the cache under the remains of the log. This was a beautiful area, and we continued on to a clearing with a lovely view and then walked down to the river. All in all, an enjoyable cache. We wouldn't call this a 3 in terrain, though. It was a nice flat trail to the cache and back. TFTC.
