Traditional ammo box with lots of good things inside.

It's best to park on the side of the road, facing West.  Be sure to park at the trialhead or slight west of it, don't park East of it, otherwise your car may be towed or crushed.   Walk up the trial, tradional Ammo box, with lots of good things inside.

Way down below you can see what is called a TER, stands for Truck Escape Ramp.  The ramps were designed to slow trucks down after losing their brakes.  It was designed to slow a truck up to 90,000 lbs. going as fast as 90 mph. It's reported, a 170 of these are located in  the United States and have saved many lives.

I so glad I came over to this one on my way down. When I was a kid we drove to CO for vacation. When I saw the Runaway truck ramp I asked my dad what the driver did after he went up one of those ramps. He answered very nonchalantly "clean out his shorts!"

Great spot! As a trucker I'm glad the only time I've ever been inside of a runaway truck ramp was on the hike to this cache!
