went for this after democrat, just as the clouds rolled in and it started snowing. democrat is in the background in our pic. we barely got any photos compared to all the ones we took at democrat, too cold to get our hands out of gloves!

My aunt and I went for this one today. She didn't quite make it, but I did. It was a gorgeous day, with a cloud that kept the sun off me until right before the "summit." I snagged a passerby to take a picture of me with Mt Lincoln in the background. I thought about heading over to Lincoln since it was fairly close, but my aunt was waiting for me lower down so I headed back. Good thing too, as that cloud became pretty ominous on the way down, spitting some rain and graupel on us as we carefully negotiated the slippery trail.
As for the road, I'd say a regular car can make it most of the way there, but you will need a fair amount of clearance to get to the actual parking lot. You'd better get there early on a weekend, as there were a lot of cars there today (Friday). We arrived around 9 am and just managed to park near the lot. There is a toilet facility at the trailhead and dogs are allowed, but on a leash.
Here I am!
How gorgeous is this?
Mines everywhere
These guys were everywhere, too
The car's down there somewhere

Great loop hike to grab some 14ers

Attempted this one today and got within 2 miles of the cache and knew my Forester was not going to make it. Plan on at least one hour plus to get to this cache and have a 4x4. Loved the scenery going in...so it was not a waste of time. Thanks for taking us there.

Land use survey prevented me from getting to the exact point, but hey! It was fun

Mount Cameron

Our 5th cache of the morning and our 3rd 14er for this hike. We took a counter-clockwise route to the four summits and managed to avoid a lot of the crowds the first half of the hike. Around Mt. Cameron, we started encountering a lot of hikers coming the other way. Took a bunch of photos on the main summit area along the trail, but the geocache was pointing us to a different location. We walked over to that spot, which from a distance appeared to be higher, and found a sign left by a previous cacher. Used it to take our photos. From that location though, the other summit location appears higher. Always a little deceiving optics on mountain summits. Took our photos and continued on to Mt. Democrat. Many thanks.

Find #6157 (9 of 13 finds with 0 DNF for the weekend) as part of an awesome caching cerw on a lovely (but cold) geocaching and 14'er climbing weekend. Some caches were easy, others were hard simply because of the hikes; all were awesome! Cache is in good condition. Thank you Web-ling!
Mt Cameron (not Camron - the sign was borrowed)

Hiked the Decalibron loop with PayMeCache, CrumbCrunchers and KoalCanuckPapa. This was our third find of the day. We didn't have a sign for this Peak but found one up there. Not only was it the wrong date but it was also misspelled. Thanks for breaking up the hike with the opportunity to grab a cache. Group photo posted by PayMeCache.

KJKlock, crumbcrunchers and Koalacanukpappa and I are climbing the four or should I say three fourteeners today. This was the third cache on our trip for us after we had summited Mount Democrat. KJKlock forgot to bring her sharpie for us to create our sign but thankfully there was a sign left from yesterday that we used (sadly, it has yesterdays date on it and is spelled incorrectly). We all took the photos needed to log this cache, enjoyed a shot of Fireball and then said our goodbyes to the Mount Cameron as we headed off towards Mount Lincoln. Since I showed Gizmo that I was more dominant on Mt. Democrat after he tried to show me his excitement by trying to get off on my leg, he switched gears and went to Koalacanukpappa for some action.
Even though Mount Cameron is not truly considered a fourteener, this is my second time being over 14,000 feet and I appreciated the virtual cache here. Pics previously sent in but I will also attach a couple in my log here.
Found GC8B1D - The Forgotten Fourteener, on August 6, 2017 using Cachly for iOS.
Thank you, Web-ling for placing a fun cache for all of us to enjoy and giving back to the community. I look forward to finding more of your caches. I also look forward to potentially finding Geocaches with you one day and sharing stories of our hobby or should I say addiction? Cheers!
