I have been wanting to try these roads for a while. Billkat and I made the trip in my Xterra. I stopped at the bottom of the last hill a little less than a half mile from the cache because I was concerned about the ruts in the road. As we walked up I saw that I could have driven it after all but the exercise was good too. It took us a while to find the cache but I didn't want to leave without it after coming all this way. I rescued the TB that has been here almost two years. TFTC

It's great to get back up to this area after 4 years. The road is rougher than I remember but still a fun ride without much pucker factor. The container took a while to find. I was thinking of going back to get a jacket but then estes01 found it. Great area, thanks!

Well Aunt Dizzy, you may already know that your cache is (or was) on the High in Colorado list - GC1ZAZG. This challenge happens to be the only caching challenge I'm passionate about. And although I prefer to hike to these high caches, if there's a road, I won't pass it up...the spectacular views are still the same no matter how you get there. Today, I convinced ernie66 that your cache was a priority. Had some trouble finding the cache - just too many rocks - but then we spotted one small rock that didn't look like it should be perched where it was. The O-ring on the container has dried up, but as the log is in a plastic bag it should be fine. Thank you for bringing us back up there. I remembered this road as one of my favorites and my memories were correct. It was a fun jeeping day.
