This is the Grand Lake Whereigo. It will take you around town to a few places that support geocaching and the Across the Divide Geotour. I hope you have a great time.

Spending Father's day with dustyriver and liquidelle. We focused today on grabbing caches that are a part of the geotour.

We were so looking forward to attending and caching our way to and around the Celebrating Historic Grand Lake Event. We had received an email last night from one of the hosts that Trail Ridge Road was closed due to ice and snow, and that the event might be canceled. Mr SDC informed me that we weren't taking Trail Ridge Road to get to Grand Lake. I emailed the host back to let her know and she made arrangements to have another host there in the event we decided to chance the weather spoiling our day. We are so glad we went ahead with our plans as we had an amazing day caching and enjoying the end of the changing of the Aspens . The weather started out a bit iffy with some light rain and fog but cleared up nicely as we got deeper in the mountains. We managed to grab most of the Across The Divide GeoTour 2018 caches along with some others.

We were able to complete the wherigo and get the confirmation code. When we arrived at GZ the area is in disarray due to the construction in the area. A lot of the area has been disturbed and when you walk on the dirt you sink about 4 to 6 inches. We looked around and in each crevice in a 30 foot area and could not come up with a cache. It looks like it may be MIA!

Hoping to complete the Across the Divide geotour. My final cache. But, I've never done a Wherigo and have not been able to figure it out. I even got an app and tried to download a cartridge, but unsuccessful. I am at the location of the first stop but can't learn where to go next. Guess I need to talk to someone with experience in these caches and get a lesson.

Nice wherigo! We did not patronize any of the highlighted sponsors this visit, but have visited a couple of them in previous years. While walking by Sagebrush today we noticed that, whether encouraged or not, legume casings still littered the floor! TFTC!
