The cache is located at the intersection of Dry Gulch and Notaiah Roads, at the sign showing the entrance to Eagle Rock School.

Honoring a WW2 veteran and fiscally conservative friend of the taxpayer.

This cache remembers Sid Taylor who passed away in 2012 at the age of 97.

W Sidney Taylor helped found the National Taxpayer's Union (NTU) in 1969. He was Research Director of the NTU for almost 30 years. The National Taxpayers Union (NTU) considers itself the "Voice of America's Taxpayers." Sid lobbied on behalf of the taxpayer on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C. The non-profit NTU works for tax relief, tax reform, and more impactful spending.

Sid created the "red ink chart," the Taxpayer's Liability index (TLI), and the term "double dipper." This cache focuses on the Taxpayer's Liability Index.

The Taxpayers Liability Index (TLI) shows how much each taxpayer owes, or is obligated to pay, including both the current federal debt and future unfunded obligations. The unfunded liabilities dwarf the current debt. The TLI is rather large, much greater than the current debt.

A favorite quote from Sid maybe be particularly appropriate for our time:

"Deficit spending is bankruptcy pending."

Sid, a colorful, witty man, a dancer, a thinker, a walker. He led a full life. RIP.

Neat spot, had the cache in hand right away. Always nice finding the larger ones. I've done a lot of work at the nearby facility over the years, so I'm very familiar with this area. TFTC

FTF@ 12:24, Caching our way home after enjoying the Coffee on 8-18-18: International Geocaching Day in Estes Park. Saw this one was close by after finding the RENAISSANCE cache and still hadn't been found yet, so we headed on over not passing any other caches just to grab this one. Surprised to clean log. Nice hide, TNLN, SL,TFTC
