This cache is for one of my ATV and Geocaching buddies, Taylor. She loves to dig for crystals at this old mine. Today it is called the Crystal Mine. I don't know if that was it's name in the 1890's. At an elevation of 11,635 feet the road to the cache may be closed until June. Have fun looking for crystals in the tailings and enjoy the view!
The cache is a medium size mayo jar covered with camo tape. It contains lots of things to trade, log, and the Hope Bear trackable for the first to find. There is a great view of Cross Mountain (so named because the last snow to melt is in the shape of a cross) from near the cache.
