Easy cache for a family out in the woods. Cache is at 8159 ft.
This cache is almost the opposite of my Roaring Creek cache. Very, very easy and uninteresting hike, but a interesting hunt. The clue tries to be helpful, but is really more annoying then anything. If there is snow on the ground, this can be a bear to find. Because of comments I made the overall difficulty two stars. Cache is a small green ammo box.
Contents at the time of placement were...
  • Screaming Jets CD (From A-Cache)
  • A music CD with music to GeoCache by
  • A palm utilities CD
  • A pin compass
  • water bottle
  • camera
  • log book

Having a fun day with the fam in the mountains. Drove up the poudre to chambers lake, went across the Laramie river road To bull mountain, then home on sand creek and Cherokee park road. We made lots of stops to enjoy the area and for a couple of caches for me. Including making the trek up to the tunnel which was awesome.

Tunnel cache was a must do as its been on my jasmer list for some time. The log showed its been 6 days short of a year since the last find. Plenty of time for the previous finders dead deer to become nothing but Bones. Thank you so much for placing and keeping this one alive!!

Took us a few minutes but the hint was right on. There's a fairly ripe deer carcass about 15 feet away from the cache at the time of this find.

Acachingcat and I came to the area from Florida. Our primary goal was to find as many virtuals and earth caches as possible. We also grabbed a few other caches along the way. We had a whirlwind trip finding 7 new states, hiking to mountain tops and learning so much history along the way. We had a blast and appreciate every CO for placing caches for us to find along the way.

Smithj9 and I left Fort Collins eaarly to take a drive and cache through Poudre Canyon down to Grand Lake. We saw all kinds of neat places and learned a lot about the history of the area on our way. Thanks for placing and maintaining these caches for us to enjoy while visiting from Florida.

This early cache has been on the list for awhile. Today was a gorgeous day to travel up to Cameron Pass. Thanks for placing this cache and for keeping it going.

This cache should be accessed from the parking lot a few hundred feet down the road and not 50' from the cache on the highway. S/L
