There's a nice meadow and camping site nearby and a trail fork as well. The trail leads up to Cap Rock Challenge, GCB349, which I highly recommend you take the time to do if possible. To access this cache, I recommend parking on Old Carriage Road and walking up past the Reservoirs. Congrats to Hartsdale for FTF!

Out exploring the trails in this area. Made a short detour to get this one.

Found it, winter friendly but had to post hole 350+ ft. off the main trail. Leaving tb. Tftc. Thanks gramma and grandpa for reviving it.

Yeah! Turned that frown upside down... BigSmile

This was my second try at this cache. After playing farther to the west on the other side of the ravine, I decided to extend my fun by departing via Ice Cave Creek. I took a look, saw his cache had been revived, lost a debate w my tired self and went to grab it. Glad I did.

Thanks for replacing this cache, G&G! Nicely done. TNLNSL. TFTC.

FYI: There is a large, dead fir tree near the cache that is rotting at the base. Be careful approaching on windy days!

Thanks for gamma and gampa for replacing the container and restoring the cache! I need to start bringing some extra log books and swag, since it could use some. I'm surprised there's no official trail up to caprock; the social trail is kinda a scramble.

I had started my climb up to caprock, when I thought I heard thunder. Nahhh, probably just a jet. Thunder again. Hmmm, maybe that little storm will pass by... thunder comes from a different direction. Ok! I got the hint, but fortunately made it back to the trailhead with just some refreshing sprinkles.

Hiking up to Cap Rock and stopped at this cache. Replaced container with CO’s permission. Replacement container is a gray tackle box. Cache is now ready to be found. Cache on!

Found the “flat rock looking table “ mentioned in the hint, but no ammo can in sight. We’ll watch the logs and come back for another look if it is found or replaced.

I couldn't find it either and was so bummed. I looked everywhere. Used the hint. No luck at all and was at the end of my list of geocaches for the day and needed to start heading back. I had started with Sundance Mt. North and done the loop from there. It was a great backwoods hike. SO many uphills and then downhills and so on just on the trail let alone to find the caches. But it was all good and a great workout. I will come back for this one when it looks like someone has found it again or been checked on and do it and Cap Rock Challenge. But for now, it must wait. It was a great Memorial Day hike for me. Thanks for placing this series. Totally loved the hike!

Our for a hike Today. Missed the initial turn for Ice Cave Creek, so came at this over the ridge to the west after passing the upper reservoir. Great hike anyway.

Spent a fair amount of time looking for this one. Using the hint, I'm pretty sure I found the spot, but there appeared to be only some scattered geo-sticks in the area. Either I was way off, CO Might want to check on this. I'll try again on my next hike up here.
