Scenic view  Cliff / falling rocks  Motorcycles  Quads  Seasonal Access

Ethel (not Ethyl as labelled on the container!) is hiding a little ways off of the Garber Trail also known as trail 686. There is a great view right at the cache. This cache does not require any difficult climbing so if you feel you need to, you are off track. This trail is popular for off road motorcycles so be on the lookout for them. There won't be any in the immediate vicinity of the cache since it is off trail a ways. In fact, when I hid this cache on a beautiful Friday, I saw no one else at all on this trail. A weekend would no doubt be different. This cache is a twin to Fred which is hidden not too far away.

The road that gets you to this area is usually closed by December 1st and not open until April 1st at the earliest.

Why do I always have to make a Cajrrman cache harder then it needs to be??!! Shorty and I followed a jumpy GPS that had us approach from below the GZ, which was not the easiest way for sure! One we finally reached the right altitude we made the easy find. Next stop Trail Mix Town! TFTC!

Teamed up with my good friend "animjason" for the first time in almost two months - we had a fine time hiking and finding geocaches - this was the second of four. TN-LN-SL. Thanks !

[FTF] 05-30-2020 at 12:31 am. I saw caches publish and decided to give it a shot. I doubted that anyone would be crazy enough to head to Rampart Range at 11:00 pm, but who knows? After about an hour of rumbling down the road I arrived at the appropriate parking spot and turned off the Jeep. Complete blackness up here. Stars in the sky. Period. I headed down the trail with my flashlight, a pen, and my stamp. The hike is cool and quiet. No one is out here tonight. I neared the GZ and followed the waypoint to leave the trail. Unlike Fred, I made it to the GZ and made the find pretty quickly. Cool swag. I did wish that it was daylight so I could see the view around me. Sweaty and tired, I headed by to the Jeep. The trail is now ascending, making it a slower go back to the Jeep. Two great caches.
Thanks for the cache!
