Located in the Grand Rocky Mountains at an elevation of aprox. 10100 Ft. A short cross country hike is needed to find it. Not very steep but could have some run off water from snow melt, but can be avoided.
This is my first cache.
Was not as prepared as I wanted, but was in the area. Container is an Ammo Box (9/1/03). Covered well and little foot traffic in this area.

Contents are few. Logbook and pencil. Angel and Dollarbill folded in shorts. (I hope to embelish this more at a later date) P.S. As promised, I enhanced the cache with a few more items and marked the lid.
This cache was checked and the container replaced on Sept. 1, 2003. I took out the camera and will have pics posted.

Taw and I found this cache while passing through on our way home. She was going to wait by the highway for me but when the flys started biting she changed her mind. Found the cache after a nice walk and a short search.

Has anyone else had that sinking feeling upon returning to their vehicle and reaching into their pocket for the GPSr...only to realize it is still back by the cache? Yep. Good thing there were still a few patches of snow, with enough footprints to get back to it. Even so, it was a nice walk. TFTC.

Found this nice cache today after a trip up Long Draw road. Really enjoy finding older caches with original logs. Read through a few of the logs starting from 2002, but too many to read the whole thing. I did notice that October first was Susan's birthday in one log, so Happy Birthday Susan! Had a good time with the dog, and the trees had some nice yellows and oranges along the canyon.
