Monument Gulch Side Trail
Out looking for adventure, we tend to just take off on some trails unplanned. This was a fun but easy little trail to Jeep up with some quiet woods at the top.
The cache is a decon container.

Up in the area for a late season camping trip. We tried this one back in 2010, almost to the day. We were not able to get back up into the area until now. Such is life. Found it with no trouble, thanks to some help from a fellow cacher who gave us a hint. The cache is in great shape and ready for the cold wet stuff. Absolute gorgeous late summer weather. The aspens were just starting to drop their leaves and all were bright gold. See the pics. Too nice! TNLN SL. TFTC!! :-)

No luck for us. We were in the area and tried a couple of caches. Just didn't have out "geo-thinking"caps on today. 0 for 2. We hiked up the road as we did not want to take the big red truck. A jeep makes more sense for this trail. Probably hasn't been muggled. It was just us today. We'll try again next trip.

Side trail huh? WOW! Talk about a trail. It was a piece of cake for the rubicon, man what a fun time cruising up to this one! I almost gave it up as I kept circling the same dang tree when suddenly the cache jumped out and nearly bit me! I thought for sure it was muggled after not being visited for a year. But it is intact and there for the next sucker to try this trail out on!!

Out on a two day adventure with pickupthepace. Fun cache on a super fun side road! It took us quite a bit of searching, not sure why. Good cammo and poor thinking I guess. TFTCSL
