I came at this one opposite the way people normally come to find this cache. I started today’s short hike up from the north, from the direction of Limbaugh Canyon. The hike was significantly more pleasant than I thought it would be. Once past GCYATX 66% Inspiration, 100% Perspiration, the elevation gain leveled off significantly. Not only that, I was able to make the find on this one with no drama. Thanks to the CO for placing this nice cache for everyone to find, TFTC.

Out for an afternoon of burning extra energy with a fellow great friend and caching colleague who is wise in the caching ways. We were able to avoid the rain that happened down below, but did hear the thunder rolling above while spying unique forest treasures along the way. Thank you for placing this cache out here in the middle of nowhere where no one in their right mind would ever go to or see without a tree to spy in the distance and say "Peanut Butter Jar!" Wink

I had to get friendly with the foliage, but was able to retrieve it. I swapped a dime for a pretty rock.

10:41 AM We are here from Dallas for our typical August vacation in Divide in order to skip the Texas heat for a couple of weeks.

Today I am hiking/caching around Mt Herman with WingsAndTails.

Hey, I finally spotted one first.

We signed the log. Thanks, gampa&gamma, for the cache.

This was part of a big loop up trail 716, over Raspberry Mt and down to trail 715 and back to Mt Herman Rd. It was a full day and made for a nice hike. TFTC

Lemonheadmafia and I didn't have to work today so we found a new trail to explore. Initially I had planned to come up the route I had used before but after some research learned 716 came up here. 715 and 716 share the trail head on mt herman road but 716 forks left when 715 forks right and up a hill. We missed this at first and tried an old trail. We soon came to a dead end and circled back around where we found the mistake. Even with that extra detour it was only a 4.3 mile hike. It brought us up to the ridge right between igneous and coniferous #2 by the teepee. Great trail! I loved having new caches and a new trail to explore. Sl, thanks!
