The listed coordinates take you to a great place to park. Please walk from there. Do not attempt to drive the ancient road. You will find the coordinates for this cache at: ”Hooter’s Sanctuary” Once upon a time, you had to find two other caches to get the solution for this one.

There are other caches close to this one. Make sure you load all the nearby (close to these coordinates) caches in your GPSr.

I cannot take credit for the container at the final. This was made by an amazing cacher in the Omaha area named Roger Dodger. He has a similar cache south of Council Bluffs, Iowa. He did me the great favor of making the container to spread the word around Colorado. Thanks so very much RD.

11:52 AM We are here from Dallas for our typical August vacation in Divide in order to skip the Texas heat for a couple of weeks.

Today I am hunting a few caches in the Schubarth Trail area. This was one of my main targets. I found Hooter's Sanctuary 9 years ago on 9/6/2009 - and I revisited the Spruce Mountain trails for the first time this past Sunday! I also found Hedwig's Cavity on 8/15/2014, but it had no coordinate info in it at that time.

I recently noticed the additional information I needed, so I made this cache a priority. I've heard great things about it and it did not disappoint!

So almost 9 years after starting on this series by accident, I finally managed to visit this final cache. Do be careful of the tripwires in the area, created by old fallen barbed wire fence.

I signed the log below one of my geo-heroes and part-time DFW resident, OR85OR450. Thanks, vorticity, for the cache. Happy to add my favorite point.

Hi - Can't remember how long ago I got the Spruce Mountain aspect (former?) of this duo... but it was quite snowy, in great contrast to today here. Warm summer firing up for front rangers... and the road to Rampart Res. was overrun with folks hauling water toys !! Smile
Cache is in great shape ... and yes, everyone should really get by here!

I replaced the photo after Photobucket locked all my images. I cleaned up the Webpage and made it clearer how to find the final coordinates. Vort.
