The highest tree on peek 9 is small but mighty, living strong at just over 12,000 feet.

If you choose to go during winter look for the highest patch of trees above the windows and get your hike on. Should be accessible as long as there isn't too much snow.
If you go during the summer you will have quite a hike ahead of you.

So disappointed to mark a DNF for this one. My buddy and I walked up to above the windows on a nice groomer (not a stroll, however). Then it was a decent climb/walk/posthole to the patch of trees. We arrived to find them mostly buried in snow. We thought we had a chance despite the recent snowfall. However, I think this one is in hibernation for the winter. At least we skied some freshies on the way down! I'll be back, perhaps in the summer, to off road this area and grab this cache.

Found with Java Chip on the way down from Peak 10. Looked around for quite a bit. This one is definitely well hidden, but with some aggressive searching we were able to make the find in the obvious place. TFTC!
