The Camper's Delight is a well-hidden cache just off the beaten path. It is a heavily travelled area, so please conceal it after you find it. This is a theme cache related to camping. Please trade items in and out that are only related to camping activities. Take some time and enjoy the views - they are spectacular!... and take a photo of you/your group while there!
*** update as of 7/8/06 *** I am aware of the cameras being full... thanks to all who have e-mailed me about that. I am on the east coast and unable to maintain this cache, so my hope is that it keeps on getting business. One day when I'm back in the Valley, I'll replace the cam's with new ones.

The Camper's Delight is a medium-sized green ammo can containing the following items:

Log book and pencils/pens
a disposable camera (please leave in the cache)
small can of sterno
insect repellent
pocket knife
pen light
2 packaged dehydrated backpack dinners
camp cup
emergency poncho
water-proof matches (in watertight container)
new unopened chapstick
rubber snubber

Parking is available at N37 37.302, W105 33.571. There is a short and non-technical 1/2 mile hike to the cache area. Please remain on the established trail until you near the cache. Enjoy the views of the San Luis Valley while there, and explore the spectacular geologic "feature" just up the trail from the cache. Take a picture of you and your group while there, and I will post pictures to the website when the camera is full.

Had to get at least one Traditional cache while I was in the area. Had fun going to see the falls and the walk in the cold stream. I came out here with Wisewarrior and Littlehawk. Thanks for putting this one out. I enjoyed reading some of old logs. TFTC

Fun grab while in this area with my scouts. Climbed the dunes, visited these falls, and did some target shooting.

I stopped at this cache to pick up my travel bug that has been listed in this cache for a year. Unfortunately it wasn't there. This cache is mostly in good condition. The hinge is damaged so you have to be careful with the container. It's been out here a long time. Cache on!

Found on the way to Zapata Falls with Isla.
This is one of the old caches and it is great
to see that it is still going. From this location
there are great views of the San Luis Valley.
Definitely a favorite.
