In Chalk Creek Canyon

Chalk Creek Canyon is one of my favorite places to explore. There's a lot of history here, and most of the road is the roadbed for the DSP&P Railroad.

The cache is on part of the roadbed overlooking Chalk Lake. How you get to it will determine the overall terrain difficulty level for you. It can be as easy as a 2 or as hard as a 5. Remember you are at almost 9,000 feet.

Suitable for small trackables.

Today, we had the trail almost to ourselves. Very hot day today. Watch your step, lots of loose rocks. Glad that we had a Band-Aid with us. The hint and the ratings were right on. Tftc.
