West Monroe (West Mon'-row) is located at N 32° 31.099 W 92° 08. Make sure when you pronounce it, that you drag it out with three long syllables, and a little southern accent never hurts.

West Monroe is a city in Ouachita Parish, Louisiana, United States. The population was 13,250 at the 2000 census. West Monroe is situated on the Ouachita River, just across from the neighboring city of Monroe (pop. 53,107). The two cities are often referred to as the Twin Cities of Northeast Louisiana. West Monroe was originally named Trenton. Recently there has been a lot of interest in renaming the city back to Trenton. We can't allow that to happen, or we would have no title for this cache.

The cache is not at the coords listed above. You will need to break the puzzle in order to find the cache. If this helps, I can tell you that the cache is located West of Monroe, regardless which road you take.

N38 AB.CDE W104 FG.HIJ

A & B ~ equals: N 32° 30.271 W 92° 06.734, now Reverse the two digits.
C & D ~ equals: The last two digits, of the year that West Monroe High School won their 1st State Championship in Football. (I had to mention Football somewhere in the cache, since the school is known for its Big Time Football through out the South.)
E ~ equals: N 32° 31.437 W 92° 08.939, now take the obvious number.
F & G ~ equals: N 32° 30.230 W 92° 07.685, now take this info and apply this rule: the bigger one minus the smaller one, plus four (4)
H ~ equals: N 32° 29.757 W 92° 07.048, now take the 2nd digit.
I ~ equals: N 32° 35.587 W 92° 09.020, now take the 3rd digit.
J ~ equals: N 32° 29.872 W 92° 07.455, once again, now take the obvious number.

At the time of placement, I had a +/- of 15 feet. Please bring your own Pen(cil,) just in case. The cache should be able to hold small geocoins. Happy Caching, and make you sure you get a chance to take in some of the local food, on your trip!

I think this one is gone

I came down to the Springs with nicehice to work on a few solved puzzles and new caches.

Bummer, more humble pie for me on this one. We noticed the last Cacher DNF'd this one with a comment that a tree was down. That tree has been removed if the was indeed the hiding place.

No luck this evening. A tree near my solved coordinates has fallen over.

With a lot of head scratching, trial and error, and a lot of help from a fellow cacher (the previous finder, thanks), we finally got all the numbers we needed and found it. The cache is in good shape for such a veteran of the game.

Thanks for the fun puzzle! I've had this one solved for so long I've forgotten about it. Stopped by while doing some maintenance on a nearby cache. Found quickly. As previously mentioned the log is a bit moldy but dry. Signed and stamped and replaced as found. Container is in good shape but no longer water tight. Thanks for making this fun puzzle and placing the cache for us all to enjoy!

Wow! This one hasn't been found in a while! After my fire team meeting today I set off to find a nearby cache as we got out early. This one was the lucky winner! I got to the gz and found the container in just a few minutes. The log is a bit of a science experiment at this point. Very fuzzy and black on most of the log. I took some pictures of it to show the growth. Weird that it was still sealed pretty tight when I opened it. Thanks for the great puzzle and hide!

- My new thesaurus is terrible. Not only that but it's also terrible.

While out making finds with imyy4u2, we decided to grab this cache. Pretty easy find with close parking - maybe shoulda saved it for a colder day ;-)

Signed log and thanks for the cache!

Solved months ago, finally out here to make the find with MikeandJuli. Walked right past it, was looking for something smaller and completely missed it at first. Mike made the find. Tft?!
