Out for a little walk this morning, exploring a trail I hadn't hiked before. My goodness, I can see where the joke about "66 switchbacks" comes from! I've done another one or two in this series, so figured that I needed to find the highest point :-) Once I got up, I identified a "nice spot" to take in the view, and sure enough, the cache was right there! Was surprised to see that three of the Barr Camp caretakers signed your log in 2017! :-) Thanks for placing this cache!

Future hikers, please note - the "snowplow turn around point" is no longer a legal place to park - good thing the parking at the bottom of the hill is still close!

Came down to these out- of- the- way neighbors as a goal for my second tour d' Heizer. Was really more of a tour d' parking... it has been a while since my wife & I were here; and my memory is crapping out BigSmile

It was cool to come up & enjoy the view... my gpsr just couldn't square itself at the final; forever bobbing back & forth between . . . one, and zero feet.

Found it, I’m almost too short for that. Tftc, picture shows my view from the cache. The prettier side.

Beautiful day. I can't believe this is November. Came up the Heizer trail to the reservoir and bushwhacked up here. TNLNSLTFTC

What a view! Java Chip and I found this one via Heizer Trail branching off once we got to the top. I never would have guessed that this trail (Heizer) was here. We plan on coming back to it and going all the way over to Barr Trail someday soon. TFTC!

Freckle was very cute. Had to laugh at climbstuff's remark about putting a cache in this area and calling it "66 switchbacks"… I think there must be at least that many on the Heizer Trail. As I wrote in the Ratelle-ouille log, I needed a kickstarter for the 2015 hiking season and your cache and Vort's fit the bill. As I sit here, typing this, the only things that aren't hurting are my fingers. But it was well worth it. Another great spot for a cache! I'm running out of great caches to do :-( No problem finding it…I had a little input from a friend. Thank you for a fun hike. Deserves a favorite.

12:54:00 PM We are visiting from Dallas and staying in Divide for four weeks. I think it was "Spin Up" that brought the Heizer trail to my attention. I've been deferring it to the latter part of our trip so we had maximum acclimation and conditioning. Today was the day. It was bitter-sweet. We didn't hit all the caches I intended, but we both enjoyed the trail portion of the hike and the amazing views.

I really respect the sentiment of this cache. Sadly, we got to within about 500 feet of it and we had to turn back. Hopefully I will have a chance to hike the trail on my own the next time we are here and I will try to get to this cache. But we did remember Freckle today during our hike. Best wishes.

This one was a fun search. ( that's what this game is all about )

Things were not looking good as we searched and those DNF'S way up here leave a bad taste in your mouth for along time.

I got lucky and grabbed it!

Fun hide! ( container is in fine shape)

I picked up the coin, to get it moving again.

Thank you!

After finding Spin Up Hartsdale and I made our way down to this cache. This one took a lot of searching before I finally heard Hartsdale say "Got It". I had looked over an area just a couple of feet from the cache, but didn't notice the correct hiding spot. Been along time since this cache has seen the light of day. TFTC.

My 28th jjasks cache find. Enjoyed the hike up from Heizer Trail and then the bushwhack over. While I was up there, Saturday at noon, football season, I heard the jets several times going by for the AF vs. CSU game. BTW AF won! Now over to Ratelle-ouille. Left a geocoin. TFTC
