Drive up Soul Shine Road (US Forest Service Rd 222) as far as you can, until you see a sign that says "no motor vehicles". High clearance vehicles only. You'll have to hoof it the rest of the way. You used to be able to drive almost all the way to the cache, but the forest service has blocked it off due to litterbugs and vandals :(

Now it's a bit of a hike, but not too bad.
There is no need to go near the edge of a cliff. Ammo box is hidden very well. Please put it back the way you found it.

NOTE: Do be very careful when pulling out onto the highway!! There is a blind curve right there, and you should NOT attempt to turn left.

Well, I misunderstood the road closure. I thought the whole canyon was closed unless you had a resident's permit. You can access this from Estes Park.

Route 34 is open from Drake to Estes. And closed from Drake to Loveland Mountain Park.

The Big Thompson canyon is closed for major road repairs until next June, so this cache will unavailable until the road reopens.

Our last Estes Park cache before we leave. The road and hike were both quite a challenge! Glad it wasn't too hot this afternoon. Great views from gz. There are no trackables in the cache. Frown TNLNSL TFTC
