This cache is located at the end of “Cook Ridge”. Best access is by way of the Cow Creek Road or the JQS Trail. On the way to it, you’ll pass an old radio tower, cattle guard, a few cowboy bathtubs (stock ponds), old hunt camps, BUT no kitchens with cooks! Not sure how this ridge got it’s name, unless there was some old cook that has long since hung up their spatula. Out near the end of the trail is an old stock tank, which is the closest thing I could find to a feed trough that a cook may have filled. I left a sandwich for the next cacher to snack on, but you'll need to bring your own water, The tanks a little rusty, blaaah! The road is in real good shape, today it was even dry and mud free – BONUS!
