Merry Christmas !

Glenn (Dad), along with all 3 Kidz -- 20 year old Lars and 17 year-old twins Leik (pronounced "Lake") and Erikka placed this ammo can in the woods while getting their Christmas Tree for 2022.

Here is our Christmas Tree for 2022 in the forest:

And here is that same Colorado Blue Spruce tree in our home, after Erikka decorated it, which she enjoys doing each year.

We live in Colorado, and each year pay a fee to the US Forest Service, get a permit and head off to Pike National Forest to cut down our Christmas tree from designated areas.  Forest health is important, removing smaller trees contributes to the overall well being of the forest and reduces fire danger.  Pike National Forest is named for famed explorer Zebulon Pike, whose name also adorns nearby Pikes Peak which was the inspiration to Katharine Lee Bates who, in 1895, wrote "America the Beautiful".

We hope everyone has a great Holiday Season with friends and family.

We have made a small family tradition of getting our Christmas Tree from the Pike National Forest each year, and placing a geocache at the same time. This is our seventh year of doing so.

Congratulations to hartsdale for being FTF !

Congratulations also go to Granitegrabber for being 2TF !!

Temporarily Disable Listing 12/03/2022 By 3 Williams Kidz
I just contacted ernie66 along with a picture of where the geocache was hidden and he has confirmed that he looked there, the container is missing. Disabling this one until I can get it up and running again.

Yikes, I must be blind! I found 2 likely hiding spots that fit the hint within a reasonable radius of GZ, but no ammo can.

We love to find 3 Williams Kidz caches. They are filled to the brim with swag. We would love to be first-to-find one day, but our chances are very low in this area! Loved the hiding spot. We swapped out the TBs for different ones. Tftc.

2TF at 7 a.m. Woo-Hoo! I always approach a new cache with such anticipation. I know that I won't be first but hope to be second. Parked up off of the road and walked. Another great 3Williams Kidz cache. Merry Christmas! SL, TN except my 2nd to find prize which is a "2TF TB".
Yay! TFTC and a prize. Gets a FAV

FTF!

It seems a little early for Christmas as I was thinking going up the pass after seeing Woodland Park’s Decoration’s kind of help set the mood.

Got to parking with the stars out above, I headed to the coordinates and was surprised to see this large container stuffed in there.

After careful removal of heavier then normal that I have grabbed before.

Popped it open to see it was also stuffed to the rim.

With my rechargeable flash light on full power ( it makes the area seem like it’s high noon ) I rummaged through the contents like some homeless guy in a candy store.

Wow! A fun FTF prize that I will get to open on Christmas morning, thank you very much, but the anticipation is aways off and maybe overwhelming.

Thanks for a fun way to start the morning off!

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year
