This cache is in a beautiful nature center in Fountain, Colorado.  It is less than a 5 minute walk from the parking lot down the path.  The cache is in a place we like to call Bambi's Meadow and placed it because of the White-tailed deer that are always in the area.  Enjoy nature and the wonderful animals!

LOG ONLY - BRING YOUR OWN PEN

Welcome to the beautiful trails at the Fountain Creek Nature Center. On these beautiful trails you'll see plenty of wildlife both big and small ranging from squirrels up to beautiful deer. This cache is less than 5 minute walk along the trail. The location of this cache was selected because of placing another cache close by and ALWAYS running into the local White-tailed Deer.

This area of the trail we have come to call Bambi's Meadow. Every time we have gone out to this area we have found the deer even late at night which has frightened us a few times.

The nature trail is part of the Fountain Creek Nature Center.  The nature center serves as a gateway to the Cattail Marsh Wildlife Area.  The Nature Trail is a 0.6 circular trail that winds through cottonwoods and meadows by ponds and marshes. The Cottonwood meadows are preserved as a natural area that serves as both a refuge and feeding area for a host of wildlife species including White-tailed Deer, Red-tailed hawks, American Kestrels and Great-horned Owls.

Found log on the ground, unsure if that is the proper location. Log did not have a container.

Our final day in Colorado. Hiking and caching with granddaughter and Colorado GeoDemon.

We searched several minutes and didn’t find it. Expanded our search and still nothing. Colorado GeoDemon finally found it in a place we had already checked. The cache is hidden really well. All is well. Thanks for the fun and the cache.

We traveled out for some early morning geocaching before it gets too hot. We found this cache after a close inspection of everything we could reach. Very tricky, it blended in.
