The oldest known source and most probable origin for the expression "baker's dozen" dates to the 13th century in one of the earliest English statutes, instituted during the reign of Henry III (1216-1272), called the Assize of Bread and Ale. Bakers who were found to have shortchanged customers could be liable to severe punishment. To guard against the punishment of losing a hand to an axe, a baker would give 13 for the price of 12, to be certain of not being known as a cheat. Specifically, the practice of baking 13 items for an intended dozen was to prevent "short measure", on the basis that one of the 13 could be lost, eaten, burnt, or ruined in some way, leaving the baker with the original legal dozen.

Came through with peace love pi today. Getting everything down as a "write note" and will come back and see what I qualify for. Glad a number of cachers have come through on the way to Geowoodstock, I think we found all but one container. Someone wasn't very good at screwing Bison tubes together, we found a lot of these in two pieces. Luckily it's been dry and all the logs were good.

Peace love pi and I traveled south from the Denver area to enjoy finding Colorado Springs caches and fill in a few more rays for the 360 degrees of Colorado challenge. Loved the rolling hills and seeing so many antelope in the fields along the roads. Thanks to all the COs who made this an awesome caching day for us!

I'm travelling to attend Geowoodstock 2019 event in Texas with 3Teas and this was a pres-selected cache for us. To accomplish this we needed to physically visit your cache, and add our signatures to the logbook. I hope to full fill the requirements one day. Thanks so much for adding a smiley to my map. Accurate coordinates which made for a pleasant experience. TFTH

Day 6 of 12 on the Mingo road trip with KayakLady52. We had great weather until the last couple of days, when we experienced heavy rain at times, road and park closures due to flooding, and constant overcast skies. We enjoyed some awesome sights and amazing views. We met interesting people, found a lot of fantastic caches and had a lot of fun! In total we found 82 Mysteries (mostly challenges), 57 Traditionals (most were oldies), 48 Virtuals, 31 Earthcaches, 8 Webcams, 7 Multi’s, 6 Wherigo’s and 3 Letterboxes! Many thanks to all the CO’s for adding enjoyment to our journey! Caches requiring signatures were signed with our full geocaching names or with 22B and KL52 to save space.

We started the day visiting the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo! Following that visit we headed toward Denver, picking up geocaches along the way! A string of challenge caches was where we started. SL. Thanks again for adding to our day's enjoyment The Sterns!

I do not yet qualify for this challenge but will log a find when I do!

MPLC

Our English is not perfect, we use Google Translate to help us ...

Our journey began last August 22 and will take us to visit twelve US states and two Canadian provinces ... Our departure was from Baie-Comeau, a city on the North Shore of Quebec and then continue for a few days in Quebec City where we did some Geocaching .... Then we stopped at St-Eustache and Ville de Laval, still in Quebec, and then flew to Portland, Oregon... We made stop in Umatilla on August 28 still in Oregon, August 29 in Boise, Idaho, August 30 in Twin Falls and August 31st we are in Salt Lake City for two days... The 2nd of september we were in Rock Springs. Wyoming and the september 3 the road brought us to Laramie, Wyoming... Today will be our second and final day in the Colorado Springs area

Throughout the trip we have targeted some caches that will help us achieve our personal goals and we will certainly discover new places that Geocachers here will want us to discover ... We have been planning this trip for several months and know we will not be able to not all see for lack of time ... There are many caches but we must close our eyes can not find them all ... But it is with pleasure that we will put our signature on some of them ...

Thank you for creating these caches that add smiles to our profile and make us have a good time regardless of the mood of Mother Nature ... Our log will be the same for the whole day and if there is a particularity we will add it at the beginning of the text ... Favorites will be added here and there for all the work done ... TFTC

Yes, I qualify! When I found out I would be here for business, I did some planning to collect up some caches. I found this one which I thought was all puzzle related except for the last 3 days when I first read the description. When I went to plan out those final days with multi caches, I realized there were more days with multi cache combination finds. I changed my plans and included more multi's in my caching around the Springs. Now I qualify!

On a road trip with Ohmom50 and the GeoPups (Piper & Xzie). Found this nice hide while caching in the area. I don't qualify for this challenge yet.

Thank you for placing and maintaining this cache for us to find.

Thanks for the fun!
