One more bonus cache to get before you reach the summit.

I came up to find GC6RY05 (Cheyenne Mountain Peak) and figured that those that venture up after me would appreciate 1 more cache to find before reaching the peak.

The cache is on top of the big rock under a smaller rock. The cache is about halfway between the meadow and the summit. And the cache is a small lock-n-lock.

The view from GZ is pretty epic. You can see Garden of the Gods off in the distance and the antenna farm on the sister peak straight across from you.

When I came up, I went about 2 miles up MacNeill Trail and took a hard right at the Swisher Trail junction. There is about 1000 feet of elevation gain in the next short distance. And then you pop out at this gorgeous meadow.

Once you reach the meadow, it's a nice gradual incline up to the peak.

Last time that I was headed up this up the trail was just over thirteen years ago.

I think that I have slowed down some sense then

The weather was perfect just a medium weight shirt.

Only a couple of patches of snow here and there left.

Made my way to GZ found an interesting hide in where you lease expect one to be.

Thanks for the cache and some good exercise to go with it!
