A gorgeous view of Pikes Peak just off the beaten path. An oasis for wildlife and people located in Fountain Colorado.
Welcome to the beautiful trails at the Fountain Creek Nature Center. On these beautiful trails you'll see plenty of wildlife both big and small ranging from squirrels up to beatiful deer. This cache is about a 5 to 10 minute walk along the trail, and just a few feet off the beaten path. The location of this cache was selected for its majestic view of the entire nature center, as well as Pikes Peak, so be sure to bring a camera along!
The nature trail is part of the Fountain Creek Nature Center. The nature center serves as a gateway to the Cattail Marsh Wildlife Area. The Nature Trail is a 0.6 circular trail that winds through cottonwoods and meadows by ponds and marshes. The Cottonwood meadows are preserved as a natural area that serves as both a refuge and feeding area for a host of wildlife species including White-tailed Deer, Red-tailed hawks, American Kestrels and Great-horned Owls.
