Needs maintenance

Great place for hiking and views.
Park at the start of Belvedere Rd. Gren Mountain Falls no longer allows on street parking for hiking so you will have to walk up to the end of the street to begin. The cache is in a white tupperware container.

When placed it contained a slew of toys, t-shirts, etc. with financial marketing logos as well as GandE's trademark Japanese 5 Yen coins. Great contents for kids! There are slinkys, yo-yos, and other great kids toys.

This is a beautiful area to hike and is especially fun for dogs.

 Hints

Look in a crack between two large rocks right near a bend in the trail. It is right between two tall cut off trees.

Started an epic caching weekend by checking out the fire tower, then meandering south along Rampart Range Road. Met up with Billkat and GoMRT for a fun hike this morning. I had DNF'd this one a few months ago, and now I see why. Found the large lid from a previous edition of the cache, as verified by a previous finder...but no sign of the replacement. Dropped our own replacement under the lid we found. Thanks for placing this cache!

This one has fallen by the wayside so there is now another replacement there.

We thought we looked everywhere, but obviously not since we couldn't find it!

Thanks for newly replaced cache! I had tried for this one last summer with the family and had a DNF. Glad to make it a smiley!

So we had been planning to do Blodgett's Shadow today but a combination of bad weather and a loss of one of our hikers made for a change of plans. I still had half a day scheduled off work and with an FTF hanging out there we just had to go this route to grab it and all the others that we needed.

Met up at noon and carpooled up to the parking coords. Always lively conversation with GoMRT and KTrackers!! All the way the temperature dropped and clouds got darker. I was a bit nervous as we set out not sure what the next few hours might do.

We found all but one cache along the way and very grateful GoMRT had found most of them as the assist in a few places was really appreciated!

This was our first cache and as before my GPS kept pointing me the wrong way. I'd read through the logs and deduced generally where it should be. GoMRT spotted it first and we all signed the log. Replaced as found. All is well!

Off to the next cache and up up up!!

Thanks again for placing this for us all to enjoy!

The cache is still there in a new container thanks to a previous cacher who brought a replacement. The original lid is there too for posterity. Depending on which way you are going on the trail, it could be left or right of it, but it is there well secured with the sound of the waterfall in the background. There is a lot of GPS bounce in the area so don't give up when you GPSr does not settle down on the GZ.

Bad cell reception sent us in circles. Pretty sure we found the two cut trees but could not find the container. Assuming it is missing since many posted that this was an easy grab.

The GPSr insisted the cache was on what turned out to be the wrong side of the trail. After lots of hunting, I finally glanced in another direction and there it was out in the open. Which is just as well since I wasn't hunting in that area. Nice new container/log and swag inside. Added some camouflage. Thanks for keeping this old one going.

We were hiking to Catamount Falls and stumbled across this cache by accident... Was super pumped because I didn't have cell service, but wanted to log a cache while visiting Colorado from Wisconsin. This area is beautiful!! TFTC!! :)

We were in the area to pick up a mystery cache and decided to go for this one as well. Even with the hint, we were walking in circles following our bouncing GPS--ha! Finally gampa spotted the container.......laying out in the open :O( We signed the log and re-hid in the obvious spot with some natural camo. Thanks for keeping this old cache going.

M & I had a great hike around today... our second visit & we hiked all the way up from the park by the creek in town. She found this one by persistently checking places based on the hint, while I had targeted the wrong cut- offs. I think it's another of those where you don't need to be off the trail by more than arm's reach.
Continued on up, following ' orange/ yellow' , & eventually the whole loop to 'blue' and a few more finds!!!
