I've had this one on my list for a long long time. I've even been fairly close a few times! But man that is a steep climb from any direction besides the ridge line! Today, with some encouragement from my amazing and lovely wife I decided for a hike after work today. I've been couped up for far too long.... With a few messages back and forth of where I'll be and ETA for arrival home I set out. I made the first find along the way and climbed up from there through some brutal scrub oak to this nice spot! The views are fantastic!!! Signed the log that had been added after the burn. It's great that this one survived! Loved that the original burned log is still there too! Replaced everything as found.

Unfortunately time was suddenly not on my side and the snow kicked in but hey.... I'm only .24 miles to the next and I still have time!! Continued up to get the next one through some light snow and ever increasing wind.

At the top and final cache the snow and rain came barreling in full force! Me without a coat.... without water... getting pelted with snow and rain, who knows what the temp was, now had to climb all the way down off the mountain. Did I mention somehow thunder and lightning kicked in!? Yikes! Thank goodness for scree! I love "skiing" down the stuff and made an incredible time back to the trail. Soaked... Frozen... Bloodied I sat in the car on cloud 9! God I love Colorado and beating a mountain and the elements! There's no rush like it! I had to wait about 15 minutes for the windows and my glasses to defog. Took the time to message the wife and let her know I was alive and well. Even sang "Safe and Sound" to her! Ha ha ha!! With that I drove home.

What an afternoon! Thank you for the cache and helping make it happen!

I've been wanting to hit the trails again. This one end where I need to head up to this cache. I bushwacked my way up to this one and found it without a problem. I just realized I miss Gampa&Gamma by a day. I tried to make a working piece from the fragments of burnt squares, but couldn't get all of it. Hopefully I can get it via the CO. From here I headed up the ridgeline for more.

We were getting cabin fever after all of our recent rain, so decided to get out early for a hike in one our favorite areas. We've had our eyes on this one for a while, but never could figure out the best route to go after it. So we decided to just follow a trail for a while and then bushwack to GZ. It ended up being a pretty tough hike but worth it to find this fire survivor. Signed log and replaced as found. The puzzle pieces were too burnt to use in solving the final. Thanks for the cache.

Grabbed 'er on the way down from my first real look around Blogett. Another of those fire -survivors that's a neat look at caching before, and after. A few of the ashes inside this one show the cooked vestiges of the puzzle info... but I guess it's late in the greater scheme of things to be thinking about rounding up all the MHS goods.

I managed to pick this cache up during another hike around the Blodgett area. After a couple of hikes here, I'm happy to have decoded the trail network and can finally move around efficiently. I managed to make the find on this one with no drama, and I'm very happy about that. I'm still puzzled about the best way to approach this cache. I came down from the nearby GC3F3NK Occam's Razor, and kept going down to the trails near the water tower. I'm glad I didn't have to hike up that way. Thanks to the CO for placing this cache for everyone to find, TFTC.

Bushwhacked up - SL - Bushwhacked down. Great view. Did not retrieve puzzle piece as they were all charred. Perhaps CO will send on to me. Thanks

Made way down from Occam's Razor easily enough to find this one as the last cache of the day. It has seen better days for sure up here the cache has. All in all, good cache to find. Tftc!
