TFTC!! Please please be careful on the terrain, pine needles are slippery! Ended up getting some bad scratches on the way down.

Found it while on our MTB ride. Steep terrain; might be a little tricky for some to hike. Cache is in great shape with plenty of SWAG and puzzle pieces to be had. Really great spot! TFTC SL

Thanks for the cache! Came up here for another cache and decided to head down to this one directly. What a beautiful spot on a great day. I was able to spot it fairly quickly. Signed and stamped the log and returned as found. All is well here! Thanks for creating and placing this fun series of caches!

Met JazzManCOS this morning to do some hiking along the Spruce Mountain Trail. We were up here last Wednsday but only got about half of the caches so we decided we were up for the challenge again today. What a beautiful morning in Colorado. We got a good work out today and arrived back at our geocaching mobiles happy and tired. Thanks to all who placed caches for us to find and enjoy.

Out with 'rsfixit' for our regularly-scheduled mid-week cache run, this time on the Spruce Mountain Trail. The switchbacks were closed for trail maintenance, but we didn't hear any chain saws, so we headed up that way. Before we reached the loop, a Douglas County official challenged us. We told him we didn't hear anything and thought the maintenance was a weekend occurrence. After a few minutes of chatting and Dick mentioning we were looking for geocaches, he let us pass as long as we promised to go down the Service Road, which we did. What a great guy! Not all bureaucrats are the enemy.

I was hoping to find an old-timey actual log book, but the paper type worked just fine. Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache for us to find and enjoy!

An item that had remained on our to-do list was to make a summer trip to Colorado. This year marked our opportunity and as we often do, we weaved in some caches along the way and during our various activities. We focused on a variety of caches, but mainly new counties, puzzle caches, and some higher D/T combinations. Our trip was great and geocaching again added to our experience, even taking us to areas we wouldn't have gone otherwise.

We didn't originally have this one on the list, but we couldn't pass it up as we made our way to the top of Spruce Mountain. And glad we didn't, as the location was great - and we always enjoy making a find on a cache with longevity such as this one. Nice hide, thanks for placing.

Picked this one up while doing my Leap Year run to stop that silly white space on my stats calendar from smirking at me. Since I've been waiting 5 years to make a find on Feb 29, I was happy to pick this one up. For a maritime based cache, the CO sure enjoys steering us towards dangerous shoals and rocks! Thanks to the CO for the fun hunt and nice cache.
