This cache is an ammo box located in a cave on the cliff wall along the Seepage Road. There is a side road that will take you near a water trough. You will have to park and do some climbing. The climb can be strenuous, especially if you come from near sea level like me. The coordinates will take you to the entrance of the cave due to the lack of signal within. Once there, though, you will have no difficulty as the "cave" is a whole twenty feet deep and you can see the back from the entrance. I am not sure if this is a natural cave or a man made exploratory mineshaft. The Creede area is littered with hundreds of exploratory mineshafts dug during the silver boom.

Didn’t sign the log, but am marking as complete. This prompted a fantastic adventure for my daughter and myself. The road in absolutely required the FJ’s 4WD. It was all I could do to NOT stop at the lake to fish, but alas we were there because my daughter wanted to see the cave. Took a bit to get all the way up to the cave (this ain’t North Carolina y’all) but we surely did it. Right before we got there the thunder started. When we saw the cloud coming from behind the mountain we knew we had no time to stay. So we went back down as fast as possible, and still managed to get soaked and pelted with graupel before getting to the truck. We hate to have missed signing the log, and hope to come back some time to do that and leave some swag as well. And to fish. Thanks for the FUN cache!

Checked on this cache and found the box halfway down the slope. Put it back in the cave. Not sure how long this one will last. There a lot more people visiting this area these days and many take the hike up here for fun. There were a lot of entries in the log for 2017, none of which are here, so people are finding it and signing it that don't geocache.
