Been waiting for the roads in this area to open after the Weston Pass fire was contained.
Today was the day, glad I read the logs and went for Spectacular View first, it was easier, not easy but easier. We came here after Spectacular View, was a short down hill walk and a quick find. About 1/4 of a mile from the cache we found a faint trail and followed it to the creek and our Jeep. Thanks for the fun. This one was is also in good shape.

The hubby and I are are on a joint birthday trip... his was a week ago, and mine was on the 1st.....four~wheeling, camping, driving down roads we haven't been on before, exploring.......we camped on top of LaSalle Pass the night before, after doing 6 caches along the way....after having donuts, bacon jerky {have you had this kind before?...soooo good on a camping trip and there is no stove... {who has time to cook when there are geocaches to find?}....}....and fruit.....this was #5 on the list, today....we Parked at the parking Co~ords...gps said we were 33 feet away, but I think that was close enuff... :) ....crossed the stream and started the uphill trek...on the map, it looks like this is closer than "Spectacular View", but after doing the hike, we would recommend doing "spectacular View" first....might have a little less uphill that way.... :) ....I love hiking, but my body hates me for it, as I have fibro, so I had to stop alot...altogether, it only took an hour to do both caches, but hubby definately could have done it faster......we traversed across 3 or 4 game trails on the way...and saw lots of deer, elk and bear scat...none of it terribly fresh....We were pumped to possibly have a first to find...we have had a long dry spell of not having any ftf's, so this is exciting, and the adrenaline helps propel me up the slopes.....we get to within 22 feet of the cache and there it is...woohooo!.....I`m not sure I would take a nap here, but thanks for the cache!.....
