Depending on the route you choose, you may be able to get to this one with a stock suv.  Stay within your (and your passengers) comfort zone at all times (so your significant other will allow you future off-roading adventures!)

Congratulations to -E T- on the first to find for this one, well done!

A 35mm camo'd film canister has been placed inside the cabin.  It is high enough that snow should not be a problem and is in plain sight, you do  not need to remove or pull at anything to find this one.  Be careful of planks with nails sticking out and other tripping hazards as you rove about looking for this one.

As you hunt for this it is fun to ponder the conversations that were exchanged between some of the early occupants.  Miners, hunters - whatever - they had to be survivors to dwell in this location.   Look at the size of the ridge log and imagine how you would have set that in place if you were the builder.  Rental City wasn't supplying cranes when this one came together.  Just guessing that bad boy has to weigh north of 400-500 lbs!

-FTF- 2:39p Took the kids out on this beautiful fall day. We first tried going through Gilpin but had to detour around private property over to CR 15. From there we had no problems. When we got within 300ft of GZ we were halted by a group of 4-wheelers coming out. A group of cachers that beat us there??? After letting them pass we advanced to find... An empty log (relief). We had no trouble with the drive in my stock F-150 4x4 TNLNSL TFTC
