Another Rocky Mountain High series cache on Independence Pass.  A short and scenic hike!  Follow the paved trail east from the pass and then take a less obvious trail north and east to another bench.  Cache is just north of the bench!  A great place to sit and take in the amazing views!  : )

We had hopes to maybe walk a little up at the pass and bag a few of the caches available. But once we arrived, 'up where the air is rarified', we just decided to walk the little loop and this was the only one we were equipped to find.

Felt a bit wrong, waking off track in this fragile alpine environment, especially when there are so many signs saying 'please don't leave the paths'. Fortunately this was a quick find in what looks like a badger's lair... Surely not up here!
