Ok. I should have made a left but instead went on to explore another mine.
Cache is located at about 11,363 feet above sea level so plan accordingly. Terrain rating is to get to the parking area as a high clearance 4x4, ATV, motorbike or very good hike will be needed to get close to the old mine site. Once there you will have a great view of the valley as you search for your basic ammo can. Cache contains a log book, pen and pencil, and various trading items. Enjoy!

I stopped at the wrecked truck and hiked from there about 1/4 mile uphill.....ended up finding out that I could have ridden within about 50 feet of the cache. Had a great time!

We came straight up the hill from First Meadow (GCY067) and didn't even see the mine until after we signed the log and replaced the cache. The road proved an easier descent, and we passed a jeep struggling to find a safe way down.

Thanks for the awesome cache and location!

Walked up to this one from the valley. What a climb. Took nothing, left an empty bullet casing I had in the pack.

Thanks for the cache.

Great trip from Kansas City.
