This awesome area is just to good for only one cache. A companion for n0wae's 4x4 5-Santa Fe Peak (GCGR32).
As n0wae puts it:

"If you have a fear of heights then this one is not for you.

Drive to Montezuma, CO and take the first left from the dirt road (not where pavement ends). Once thru the town you will be on the FDR264 road that goes thru some private land. (Stay on the road in this area). 4-wheel all the way to the Continental Divide."

This cache is on the north side but be sure to visit the south side even if you must walk over there. You will be searching for a container about twice the size of a 35mm film can that has been camoed. Cache only contains a log book and pencil.

 Hints

Apart from main "rock pile," look for two triangle shaped rocks about a foot tall. Between them are two white rocks that cover the cache.

Found with Java Chip and a new doggy friend we named 'Monty' who followed us all the way up to the top of Santa Fe Peak from the town of Montezuma and then led us back down the road. He was a friendly border collie who we could have adopted, but he seemed to find his way home at the end. TFTC!

Had a fun day jeeping and hiking with WingsAndTales. She had already logged this cache some time ago, so it was awesome that she drove me up here in her XTerra. That is quite a road up the mountain. Tftc!

My Aunt and I hit Santa Fe peaks and Sullivan Peak today, and grabbed three caches along the way. This was her first geocaching experience. The weather was perfect, as was the scenery. The hint was very helpful. As a note- the log was a bit damp, but not impossible to sign. Pretty good shape for a long gap in the find!

I guess I'm the first one up there this year. The cache is still right where it should be - the camo is a little tattered but still hanging in there. I drove up in a Toyota Sequoia - a couple of the narrow tippy places were interesting indeed. TFTC!

Now it's a three-fer... TFTC!

Caching on 13ers combines my 2 favorite pastimes! Found this and the other two caches on Santa Fe Peak then went South to climb Sullivan Mtn and Geneva Peak. Great views on a beautiful morning - what more could one want? Cheers Mondo!

After driving part-way up the road from Montezuma, it was great to get out of the car and hike to Santa Fe Peak's summit, finding this and two other caches nearby. The skies were cloudy today, but the air seemed crystal clear and the views were tremendous! The cache is in excellent shape. Thanks!

An easy find once I used the hint in conjunction with my eyes. Great area for jeeping and caching. TFTC!

Well this drive got my attention, but the Jeep needed the workout and I think it definitely got one. This cache took us much longer than we expected, but the main thing is that we found it. Very breezy up there today and I had to sit down a couple of times to stop myself from being blown over. TFTC.

Estes01 took me for a ride in her jeep today. We did Santa Fe Peak and several roads south of there. It was a great day but really windy on top. This one took us longer than any of the others today. In the end the coords were good but the things mentioned in the hint were smaller than I thought they would be. TFTC
Yep, that's the road up there.
