This cache is very near a road, but seekers will need to climb the rocks to locate the cache. This cache is accessible for children as the rock climb is not that difficult.

There are very few caches in this area so I thought this would be a good place to have one.

The local folklore for this site is that in the past there was a town near here and the townsfolk believed that there were witches residing in the town. To get rid of the witches they brought them to these rocks and beheaded them. The rocks are supposed to be stained with the blood of the witches. The lichen growing on these rocks does not grow on the flowing red color of the rocks. Hmmmmm.

The cache is a clear plastic food container and contains a logbook and miscellaneous trade items. Bring your own writing stick.

Love this one. We just live down the road from it too. Been out here a few times and never bothered to check for a cache. One of my favorites!

Two of us looked all over the rocks. Not going to stick my hands into crevices in rattlesnake country. Did find a critter.
