This cache is off the Brookside-McCurdy trail on a small game trail that leads to a nice view.

The Brookside-McCurdy trail is a great hiking or horseback riding trail near Bailey, CO.  Be prepared for some elevation gain but you will be rewarded with aspen groves, wildflowers, great views and wildlife.  You are looking for a plastic ammo can off the main trail along a small game trail.  Enjoy the view while signing the log!

Directions to the trailhead:  From US 285 in Bailey, go south across the South Platte river on County Road 64 between the Post Office and Moore Lumber (across the highway from the Conoco Station). After 0.45 miles take a left at the Y onto the dirt road. Go 2.2 miles to the Payne Creek/Brookside trailhead on the left (south) side of the road.  There is horse trailer parking just past the trailhead on the right side in the meadow next to the road.

Original cache contents include a thermos, collapsible dog bowl, wildflower guidebook, necklaces, bubbles, etc.
