Welcome to the Denver Orbital Trail or DOT for short. 177 miles of trails that circumnavigate Denver metro broken up into 28 segments. It was created from existing trails, parks and greenways. Most are dog friendly and bike friendly but always check current rules and regulations before you begin any hike. The segments vary in length from 2-12 miles long. Most segments are easy to moderate but there are a few strenuous sections as well.

After a short walk along Ken Caryl Ave, turn south on the Cathy Johnson Trail and finish with a brief ascent to Deer Creek Canyon Park,

This segment runs from Ken Caryl Ranch to Deer Creek Canyon Trailhead. Difficulty: Moderate

Length: 4.9 miles.

Congrats to Knyte7 for the Ftf!

Took a while to spot the well hidden container.
Signed log and replaced as found.
Hope it will be the first of many.

Back on the trail trying to pick up a few more of the DOT caches. Managed to get this one, SL and returned as found. Blends in very nicely. Great job by YamaGypsy putting this series together. We are really enjoying the areas that have these many placements.
Thanks for the fun!
