Doing some caching and 4 wheeling on a great Memorial Day weekend! Didn't have any luck on this one though. Looked for quite awhile.

Haven't been geocaching for more than 2 years. It was great to get back out and I'm learning my GPS all over again! Great cache--TNLN--all was fine.

TFTC! This is a delightful cache on the Grand Mesa. Nice short hike and a good hide! Everything in good order. TNLN SL

Have been in the processes of attempting to log every single cache on the western half of Grand Mesa for some time. Logged "Where the Bear Goes in the Woods" some months ago but did not have an ATV at the time so were thinking of from the general area "Easterly" of the highway westward.

Since then was loaned the use of an ATV for the summer AND we decided to log Leon Peak for our 700th cache so now are attempting ALL caches on Grand Mesa. With what we have found over the last two weekends (these logs - some a bit late) we still have 5 to go. Of those 5, one was just replaced and is now a sure thing, 3 we have DNFed and think 2 of them are gone (not found in over 2 yrs) and have a hint on the 3rd, that leave only one other way up in the NE to get.

Not sure we will make it before the snow flies but with the ATV we sure have been having fun seeing the expanse of back country off road GRAND Mesa! We want to thank all the Geocachers who have set so many in far flung places that we have had to go to and learned so much of the history of the mesa in the process - not to mention having set several dozen of our own while doing it! At the same time - with the support of the visitor center rangers - we have set several Earthcaches and will be holding an International Earthcache Day Event at Land of Lakes Overlook (Island Lake) on the 12th and have been in a frenzy getting ready for that and several 5k run routes!.

Had planned to use ATV to get the 4 caches around Neversweat and Big Meadows Reservoirs last week (27th) but had elderly family with us that FREAKED at the sight of the last bit of road going out to Broken Down Limbs so we canceled that and any thought of using the ATV for some of the others and headed for pavement! Fast forward to this weekend, unloaded ATV at Bonham, grabbed this one, headed to Big Meadows and then Neversweat and after logging ALL FOUR (YEAH!) took the main road back in 1/4th the time!

Easy find, didn't drop any "buttons" on the ground - Cache, log and Coords all great! TFTC SL took TB and visited others.
