From the time when kids had to walk up hill both ways in a blizzard to get to school the Yuma county historical society has set out to locate and mark as many old schools as possible.
Ash Grove was district was formed in 1924 when the people from districts, 53,45,62,74 & 66 petitioned the County Superintendent to have thier own district. The School was about a 1/4 mile north from this sign
in 1932 the school was struck by lighting and required repairs.
A sale bill was listed in the paper to sell the school in 1950
