Annette Fixing the Cache

Tiny American Bird

Very easy cache in the Round Mountain Area

While sitting at our campsite, this HummingBird

checked out the red top on this Micro. Of Course

having a red top would be too easy to find so had to camo!

Happy hunting.

Took a little searching found container laying on the ground, seems threads of container will not hold very well, inked our name and moved on

Quick find up the trail with hockey7. Cache doesn’t seem to thread together well and might need some maintenance

GlamourCO and family found it. Missing container

The only thing that was "flying like a Hummingbird" was the top of cache. Any papers and the bottom are missing. Otherwise, I enjoyed pulling off the road to find it.

We were here for Colorado's oldest cache- we had left a coin but copied the wrong numbers- back we are- two days later and got this one on the way out!If there were instructions, they are gone!we signed a real log after 10-15 others. Tftc!

Parked out at the gate and walked up to stretch our legs. Last finder put the rattail in backward and the log was hard to get out. Left it properly assembled. Thanks for the quick cache.

Big Caching Day ahead! Today is my five year Geo-Versary so I wanted to get a special one. Kerewin0430 and I planned a nice drive out on this Sunday Funday for a run to Tarryall! With lots of finds and adventures ahead! Things are getting exciting for sure now! I loved this back way we picked on the way to Tarryall but many times I wasn't sure if we were gonna make it with these crazy roads, couldn't really turn back at this point. We were in it, to win it! I don't even know if I could come close to explaining this find as well as Kerewin0430 did in her log. It was the last cache to grab before getting back on a normal road, we were more than ready for the relief! I was shocked Rojita made it, she's a great SUV! When we saw the fence....OMG all I could picture was the van in the A-Team busting threw the wall....but the gate was cleverly camo'ed and we made it out alive...hahahahahahahaha TFTC!
Camo Fence/Gate

Found It! The way out!

Eleventh on the way to Tarryall! Okay, so this cache itself needs a bit of love (the container top wants to slip off, and its attachment is questionable)...but this gets a favorite point because of the heart dropping moment we had as we left this cache. After exploring back roads for what seemed like HOURS, negotiating huge rocks and massive mud ruts...we were about to get on the highway when a barbed wire fence BLOCKED our escape. We both went really quiet and tried not to cry/panic. No way in heck were we going to drive all the way back the way we came!! We considered how we could bend the wire so as to not pop the cachemobile tires or scrape it up...then thankfully we spotted a sign that referenced closing the gate. Gate? What gate?! Haha. With our geosense, we figured out our escape and laughed heartily in relief. Cleverly concealed "gate"...very appropriate for a geoadventure! We're going to give you credit for that bit of fun because we wouldn't have been on that terrible road unless your cache had been down that way :-) Thanks for one of the memorable stories from today!
