MTB Series - Ridgeline Open Space. This is the "second cache" in the MTB Series.

This is a series of (what I believe) to be some of the best mountain bike areas in the Front-Range. Primarily West-of and Southern Regions of Denver and the Colorado Springs region.

The goal is to get Mountain Bikers (and hikers!) out there and enjoy these beautiful trails of single-track.
You are looking for a bison tube that is camouflaged with it's surroundings.

BYOP.

There is no reason to trample vegetation. Be sure to watch out for other bikers and park off of this corner. Please use existing pathways. No bushwhacking required. Watch out for cactus and rattlesnakes!

Enjoy the view of the the Meadows and the North side of Castle Rock. I love this section of windy single single-track.

Always remember...CITO! Cache in. Trash Out!

As icezebra11 reported, we had a great trip to Castle Rock and the Parker area today with his puppy Angel and my puppies Orizaba and Chimborazo. We met up at the ParknRide in Loveland at 6 am and drove directly to Castle Rock, starting our cache-finding hikes with the dogs at the Ridgeline Open Space, shifting from there to Miller Park for a long loop hike involving some fine caches, then heading back northward to the Parker and Centennial areas for some good targets. It was a very successful day of geocaching, despite the temperatures reaching at least the mid-90s while were were on the trails. At Miller Park the zip line activities were fascinating; I will need to return there sometime to do the zip line sequence!

It seemed as if we hiked miles to reach this cache, even though its straight line distance was close to where we parked. then, the search for the prize took more time than it should have. It was an early lesson for the caches that followed. Thanks for this cache, Mountainphreaks!

Denali41 and I, along with his Lab puppies Zaba and Chimi, and my Lab puppy Angel had a great caching day in the Castle Rock and south Metro areas today, scoring on a lot of really nice caches.

Our first stop was to do some hiking in Castle Rock's Ridgeline Open Space. It was a really warm day on the trail. We made it to GZ and commenced our search. There are a lot of possibilities in the area to hide a micro and this one took a bit of expanding our search area to finally locate it. Sure would be easier went there weren't all these leaves! But we did find it and signed the log. Thanks Mountainphreaks for placing it!!!

Sat on the ridge after signing the cache and watched some bikers zoom pass. Funny how oblivious some people can be. Sl, thanks!

Got it! Forgot a pencil, though. Don't think I would've found it without the hint.
