A small cache among wildflower meadows on the lower branch of Lovell Gulch Trail.
Other caches in this area are on the upper branch with some great views, but the lower branch passes through some really beautiful wildflower meadows and aspen groves. A nice hike from either Rampart Range Road or Woodland Park.

The cache is a camo'ed plastic jar with room for a few trade items.

my favorite spot along this trail. there's a woodrat nest in one of the larger boulders, which looks like its been there a long time. Also saw a sapsucker and lots of nuthatches and chickadees near here. tnln, tftc

Some impressive boulders here. Not sure if there are 66 though.

Only had to count a few boulders before making the find. Summer is coming to the hills. TFTC

Normally, when I find a cache from this CO; I leave a clever log entry. Unfortunately, today I was uninspired and am running on empty. No encounters with Buddhist Monks, a lack of epic Jeremiah Johnson mountain man adventures, no people threatening to shoot me (whew). I found a nearby survey marker (not a benchmark), but that is not much of a story unless it was a beacon to a alien starship (rechecks picture)...nope. At least the winter view was nice and I enjoyed a drama free hunt. Unfortunately, I was not able to find all 66 boulders. I guess I'll have to settle for a simple log entry thanking the CO for the nice cache and fun hunt, TFTC.

Last one of the day. WE found it nicely hidden but NOT under a BOULDER!! Cache is in great shape. Now back on the trail. So sad there are no more caches on this side of the LOOP!! We had a great day hiking on the trail. It won't be long before the snow will fly. [8d][8d] SL TFTC TNLN

Enjoyed a wonderful hike this morning and made this our turn-around point. Stopped at the bottom of the hill for a quick lunch before heading back home, but we made sure to scale the hill and do some 'treasure hunting' after the PB&Js disappeared. Cache is in good shape, but the log it was in was crushed by another fallen tree. I had to do move some large branches around to get it out, and made it more accessible when I put it back. Thanks for hiding this cache!
